I'm currently an undergraduate student at Texas State University with a major in Photography BFA.
How I Work
A majority of my work both in photography and my written work pulls from and or showcases experiences I've encountered with my time spent in Chicago/Central Texas. I find that my inspiration comes most naturally when working in and around the public as opposed to studio work.
I believe that working outside your comfort zone is essential to both good writing and photographs. The act of inviting people to create and share in my projects is such a beautiful process. I've found exposing my vulnerabilities in this fashion opens a well of spontaneous creativity that adds so much more personal touch to such works. I like to think that everything I've ever done has been a collective effort and there's something so intimate about inviting this person I've happened upon who I may never encounter again to lend their voice to a written work or their expression at a moment's notice to be frozen in time.
